I really enjoyed my 4 nights here with a friend of mine during our Eid break from our jobs on Qatar. While it would seem that many go on romantic vacations here, there were several groups of friends and many families that equally seemed to be having a delightful stay.
Your ‘stay’ actually begins and end in Male. St Regis staff are on site to meet and greet you as well as assist with bags and transfers both inbound via seaplane to the actual hotel and outbound.
One must keep in mind that this is an luxury island resort so you will get what you would expect in the way of service, food and activities. I think 4 nights was just long enough to relax and enjoy all the components of the St Regis Maldives with many complimentary activities. For those who like to get in the water outside of the beach / pool area, I recommend water shoes.
Our butler Riyaz was amazing. The daily breakfast at Alba was fantastic, the pizza from Crust was delicious, the spa treatment at Iridium was sensational, the Mediterranean Souq was fantastic and the Decanter degustation was AMAZING!
I’m certain we will return.
